WIS Presents Impulse 2.0 – 2016

Impulse 2.0 is a professional fashion show organised by West Island School. The show made its first debut five years ago and was a huge success courtesy of the visual aspect of the event which is always spectacular. It had an attendance of over 500 guests and managed to raise over $40,000 HKD in ticket sales alone, which was donated to the Pakistani Flood Victims. An exclusive range of clothes and shoes from a variety of local and international fashion designers was presented.

After a long break, a second show is in the works and will take place on Friday, 29 January 2016 at West Island School. The show is believed to be bigger and better this time and will involve students from all schools, who are interested in modelling and designing, as well as have West Island students who will showcase their talents through various performances at the show. Along with a high end fashion show featuring local and designer brands, there will also raffle draw with opportunity to win extravagant prizes, gift bags ranging from $1000 HKD to $4000 HKD and sponsorships from esteemed companies. The night will be one filled with glitz and glamour.

As this is a non-profit event, all of the proceeds will be donated to the relief of the Nepal Earthquake disaster that occurred on April 2015. With more than 9,000 people dead and more than 23,000 injured, the victims of this disaster are still in dire need of help, and all the funds raised will be used to help rebuild infrastructure and mitigate the effects of the disaster.
