WIS at Junior Mathematics Olympiad 2016

Every year, around 180 Year 7 and Year 8 WIS students join over 200,000 students worldwide in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Junior Mathematics Challenge (JMC).
The top 1000 students are then invited to take the Junior Mathematics Olympiad (JMO), where the questions are very challenging and require full written solutions, with clear and concise reasoning and communication.

Four WIS students qualified late last year and went on to do extremely well. We are excited to announce that two of our students, Pearl Ng and Ethan Saw, were able bag a Bronze and a Silver medal respectively. Congratulations also to Sunny Choi and Anna Wu who also took part in the Olympiad and gained a Merit each.

As they are up against UK state and independent schools, and international schools across the world, we can truly say they are amongst the very best.

Congratulations to the mathematicians!
