HKSSF Athletics Championships Division 1 – Day 1

The West Island Athletics teams were out in force on Wednesday 28 February at Wanchai Stadium and there were some impressive performances as we went up against the finest in HK.

There were many personal best performances and qualification for semi finals / finals (see below). The highlight of Day 1 for WIS was the final of the girls 1500m (C grade) where Sela Caldwell was in the leading group of 6 runners with 200m remaining. Sela made her move, putting all her interval training into her performance, and she accelerated into the lead and went on to win a gold medal. What a fantastic moment!
