Global Social Leaders (GSL) World Summit for Gifted & Talented

The Wellington Leadership Institute and Future Foundations are proud to invite students to apply to our fifth Global Social Leaders (GSL) World Summit, held at Wellington College, UK on 7-18 August 2017.

GSL World Summit takes place at Wellington College: an inspiring educational institution in the United Kingdom. It is designed to bring 100 young people aged 15-17 from around the world, to exchange ideas, consider different leadership models and discuss how they can make a positive impact on their local community. In 2016 we had participants attending from countries including: Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, UAE, USA and the United Kingdom.

The course will appeal to those who wish to connect with different cultures, develop an array of new skills, and be part of a worldwide network of inspiring young leaders driving social change in their community through their actions, positive peer influence, and leadership in grassroots projects;

  • Young people will work with experienced facilitators, in a combination of workshops, activities and excursions. They will also hear from inspiring speakers from the UK and beyond, who will share their own experience of social change;
  • Through this unique programme, participants are supported in their own development and are enabled to understand their own unique style as a leader. Bringing together a range of personalities, personal experiences, and cultures, GSL will help participants build their self-confidence, gain the skill set to create social action projects, improve their English, and make lifelong friendships.

For further information about the programme please click here to visit their website; the individual booking form is also attached. You will also find the individual booking form at this link. Please note, the deadline for booking places is 25 March 2017.

100 places will be available to schools, organisations and participants around the world, with no more than 10 places allocated per school/organisation, and 10 only for all UK schools combined. We’ll operate on a first come, first served basis.

Participating in our GSL World Summit is selective.  We work with our school and organisation partners to identify students they deem to have potential to be leaders.
