Sports Round Up

Many of the under 16 ( B Grade competitions) that started last term are coming to a conclusion.

Basketball: The B Grade Boys won bronze medals in the HKSSF Division 2 competition after narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

Football: HKSSF Division 1 Football: The B Grade football team is making good progress and have qualified for the semi-finals where they will play St Joseph’s College on February 24. Every

member of the squad has made a valued contribution and they must now aim to rise to the challenge in the semifinal. Results and scorers so far:

HKIS 2-0 (Max Donovan and Lucas Duggan)

South Island 2-0 (Adrien Doneux and Clayon Gibb)

Wah Yan 7-0 (Max (5), Sean Blight, Edward Mak)

Island School 5-2 (Adrien (3), Keistan Tang, Clayton)

Chong Gene Hang2-0 (Adrien, Max)

Golf: ISSF Golf Championship (North Course, Kau Sai Chau) – The WIS golfers played in the extremely wet condition to finish 4th in the team competition. Congratulations to Ginnie Ding who was the champion in the girls competition with a round of 78 and Garris Choi who was 3rd in the boys.

Tennis: The girls finished second in their group and the boys are fifth with one game to play.

Rugby and Hockey: All teams have started with a flourish.

C Grade (U14) Volleyball, badminton, table tennis and netball seasons are imminent.
