Mariam Farooq Selected as Teen Advisor for Girl Up 2017-18

Mariam Farooq has been selected following a thorough application process to be a Teen Advisor for Girl Up 2017-18 by the United Nations Foundation.

In this role Mariam will serve as a key spokesperson for the campaign, teach new audiences about Girl Up and expand our network of advocates in support of the Girl Up campaign. Mariam will attend and actively participate in and prepare for monthly calls/webinars as well as attending two in person conferences in the US.

She will continue to lead West Island’s Girl Up club and regularly host activities and contribute to the Girl Up community.
