Upcoming Road Works Around WIS Vicinity

Dear Students and Parents,

From 25 October 2019 to 30 August 2020, there will be roadworks and slope maintenance around the West Island School vicinity.

The school has been closely in touch with the engineers and have ensured that this will cause little disruption to the day to day running of the school. From time to time there will be single lane traffic control on Victoria Road during non peak hours from 10am to 2pm only and will not have any impact on school buses leaving at 3.30pm daily.

During this time, the public bus stop opposite the Sandy Bay slip Road will be move 60 meters back to Bay View Court. The one bus stop outside of the school will remain unaffected. Please ensure you cross at the traffic lights only once you alight the bus.

As always, there is no parking available on Victoria Road for private cars.
