WIS Masterchef 2016 – First Round Results

We received a record 37 applications for the first West Island Junior Masterchef 2016. It has been a difficult process to select the 12 pairs who will be going onto to cook the dish presented on application forms. A huge thank you for the enthusiasm and passion shown.

We are pleased to announce that the following 12 pairs of students have made it to the second round:

Sacha Osborne and Priyanka De Manny
Nimisha Deva and Josie Price
Cherie Kwong and Brittany Cheng
Lily Wilson and Sidratul Mamood
Leon Haworth and Jonathan Nicholls
Kelly Gu and Olivia Yau
Caton Leung and Clovis Mak
Ines Chu and Celeste Dechy
Coleman Chui and Chikara Kameshima
Joshua Welsh and Jay Smallbone
Alice Belfield and Aimee Fender
Nyassa Garg and Tia Dadlani

Students will replicate and prepare the same dish they presented on their application forms on May 4. From here, six pairs will be selected to enter the dessert round on May 11, followed by 3 pairs who will battle it out at the two course round on May 18, and finally the winning pair will practice on May 25 before they enter the final round and represent WIS at the ESF Masterchef Final on May 27.

We wish all our contestants the best of luck! You can view all the scrumptious dishes by looking up the official hashtag #WISMasterchef2016 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
