TEDxWIS: A Great Student Led Event

TEDxWestIslandSchool took place on Wednesday 15 February in West Island School’s auditorium.

This was our very first TEDx event and we are happy to say that it was a huge success. The event consisted of nine speakers speaking back to back about their ideas and experiences and spoke in the form of a TEDx talk.

These talks ranged from issues on Islamophobia, how to be mindful and also how we can live our lives “in HD”.

Since the TEDx license only allowed us to have 100 attendees in the audience, we are happy to say that we were sold out.

Hopefully, this is the first of many TEDx events to come at West Island School.

Thank you to all our speakers and to Mrs Craig who supported greatly behind the scenes.
