OWN Future Fair 2017 at RCHK

HONG KONG: Hong Kong-based education innovation company OWN Academy is hosting its second annual future fair for students on Sunday 22 October 2017 at Renaissance College in Ma On Shan. The OWN Future Fair presents an opportunity for secondary school students to learn about careers they are interested in, and explore new ones they might be unfamiliar with.
The Fair will feature a student speaker series, where 30 inspiring young individuals in different fields of work will speak about their own experiences and provide tips for students looking to carve their own path. These creatives, entrepreneurs and professionals will provide insights on pursuits in Data Science, Fashion, Technology, Film, Health & Fitness, Law, Real Estate, and other areas. The Fair will also have a parent speaker series, aimed at increasing awareness and support for student’s future career choices.
The Fair is back due to popular demand after a successful fair early last year. Founder Natalie Chan said, “Our mission is to help students to make clear, informed decisions about their future career choices, and part of that means helping them figure out what they’re passionate about. It’s not something you can learn in the classroom. OWN Future Fair is one of the best ways we’ve found to get that message across.”
OWN Future Fair is recommended for students aged 10 and above. Entry is FREE for all English Schools Foundation students and parents. Non-ESF students and parents must pay in advance for admission (HK$100 for students, HK$200 for parents). Pay at the door (HK $150 for students, HK $250 for parents). All participants must sign up at https://ownfuturefair2017.eventbrite.com in order to gain entry on the day.
