Han & Ming Dynasty Day 2018

On Friday 9 February 2018, West Island School hosted Han & Ming’s Dynasty Day celebrations.

The student team of Dynasty Leaders showed real leadership skills and qualities by putting together a range of creative activities. As well as the WIS Bake Off, we had a number of fun activities on show. The theme was loosely linked to Valentine’s and celebrated love and friendship.

Along with a non-uniform day, the Dynasty Leaders used their creativity and planning skills to design a charity drive for Han & Ming’s associated charities… Cross Roads (Han) and Food Angel (Ming)

A great day was had by all, with students enjoying activities such as; Send a Rose, Send a Smile delivery service (random act of kindness messages), bake sales, Friendship Photo Booth, live performances from our Music Faculty, ‘You Know Me’ competitions and our very popular Pick & Mix sweet sales.

A hugely successful day was highlighted with a total of just over 22,000 HKD being raised for our community partners; Cross Roads and Food Angel.

Well done to our fantastic student Dynasty Leaders for putting together such an enjoyable Dynasty Day.
